Accounts and Access
Understand how the unified account system works, passwordless email login, and how to solve common access problems.
Unified Accounts
The accounts for the Expiry Traker, Expiry Traker for Teams, and ExpiryTraker Web services have been merged into a single access system.
This means you need only one email and password to access all of these platforms.
- What changes for you?
- ✅ A single login for all apps and websites.
- ✅ Fewer passwords to remember and greater convenience.
- ✅ Your data remains completely secure and linked to the same profile.
If you were already using the apps before the unification, your accesses were integrated automatically. There is no need to create a new account.
Login with Link in Email (Passwordless)
Login with link in email is a fast and secure way to access the application without needing to type a password.
- How it works:
- You enter your email on the login screen of the application.
- The system sends an access link to your email inbox.
- Simply open the email on your phone and tap the link to enter your account.
Currently, only the Expiry Traker (Individual) app offers login by link in email. The ExpiryTraker Web portal and the Expiry Traker for Teams app do not have this functionality and require a password to access.
How to access other services if my account has no password?
If you created your account using login by link in email, it does not have a defined password. To access Expiry Traker for Teams or the ExpiryTraker Web site, do the following:
- Go to the login screen of the service you want to access.
- Choose the "Forgot my password" option.
- Follow the instructions sent by email to register a password for your account.
- After creating the password, use your email and the new password to log in normally to any of the services.
App Store vs App Account
It is common to confuse the account used to purchase/subscribe to the app with the account of the app itself. They are completely different and independent.
- App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android) Account:
- Belongs to Apple or Google.
- Used to download apps, update apps, and manage financial payments/subscriptions.
- Expiry Traker Account:
- Created inside the Expiry Traker app.
- Used to save your products, synchronize data with the server, and link your subscription plan to your profile.
Subscribing to the app in the App Store or Google Play does not automatically create an account in the app and does not mean the password will be the same. You can, for example, subscribe with one email in the App Store and create your account in the app using another email. The subscription will only be activated in the app if you log in with the correct account inside it.
Troubleshooting Login Problems
If the app reports that the account was not found, that the login is invalid, or if you do not receive the recovery email, check the points below:
1. Typos in Email
Small typos are the most common reason for failure. Check carefully if you haven't made one of these slips:
- Type
gmai.cominstead ofgmail.com. - Forget to put a letter or special character.
- Swap
.comfor.com.br(or vice-versa). - Insert blank spaces before or after the email (especially when copying and pasting).
- Type uppercase letters by mistake (although the system tries to ignore case differences, avoid it to prevent visual confusion).
2. Use of Different Accounts
You may have created your account using a different email from the one you are trying to use now (e.g., work email instead of personal, or vice-versa). Check your email inboxes to see which one received confirmation messages from Expiry Traker.
3. Password Reset
If you are sure the email is correct, but the password is being rejected:
- Tap "Forgot my password" on the login screen.
- Enter your email and wait for the reset link.
- If you do not receive the email in a few minutes, check your Spam or Junk Mail folders.
- Create a new password and try to log in again.
