How to Delete an Organization

Learn how to delete an organization (team/workspace) in Expiry Traker for Teams and on Validades.com, as well as the prerequisites and subscription rules required for deletion.

⚠️ What happens when you delete an organization?​

Deleting an organization is a permanent and irreversible action. Upon confirming the deletion:

  • All products, batches, brands, and categories registered under the team will be permanently removed.
  • All physical stores and collaborator assignments will be deleted.
  • All members of the organization will lose access to the workspace data.
  • The team's logs and activity history will be erased.
Attention

Only the Owner has permission to delete an organization. Administrators and other team members are not authorized to perform this action.

📋 Subscription Rules Before Deletion​

To protect your account against unintended recurring charges, the system enforces specific rules regarding the team's subscription status:

  • Active Paid Subscriptions: If your team has an active paid subscription (monthly or annual), deletion is blocked while the subscription remains active. You must cancel the subscription on the respective payment platform (Stripe, App Store, or Google Play) before deleting the organization.
  • Free Trial Period: If the team is on a free trial period, deletion is authorized immediately, without requiring any prior manual cancellation.

💻 Step by Step: Delete via Web (Validades.com)​

  1. Go to Validades.com and log in with the Owner account of the organization.
  2. Ensure the correct organization is selected in the top/side navigation.
  3. Go to Settings and click on View Team.
  4. On the team details page, scroll to the bottom to find the Delete Team option.
  5. If there are no active paid subscriptions blocking the action, click the Delete Team button.
  6. A confirmation modal will appear. Click Confirm to complete the deletion.

After deletion, your session will end and you will be redirected to the login screen.

📱 Step by Step: Delete via Mobile App (Expiry Traker for Teams)​

  1. Open the Expiry Traker for Teams app using your Owner account.
  2. On the home screen, open the side menu and tap "Your workspace".
  3. Tap the Edit button (or workspace settings).
  4. In the top right corner of the screen, tap the More Options menu (three dots).
  5. Select the "Delete Team" option.
  6. On the confirmation dialog that appears, confirm the deletion by tapping "Delete".

After confirmation, the team will be removed and the app will return to the organization selection or creation screen.
